Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

a leading role in the development, oversight, and supervision of treatment programs designed

to help clients make meaningful progress across important areas of development.

A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is a certified clinician responsible for

assessing, designing, overseeing, and monitoring individualized ABA treatment programs.

In this role, you will conduct assessments, create and update treatment plans, supervise

Behavior Technicians, Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), and BCaBAs as appropriate,

review clinical data, and guide treatment decisions based on each client’s progress.

BCBAs work closely with families, staff, and the clinical team to support skill development

and behavior reduction in areas such as communication, social interaction, behavior,

daily living, safety, and independence.

Here are some duties you can expect to find in a BCBA position description:

Conduct behavioral assessments and skills assessments.
Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans and behavior intervention programs.
Oversee the clinical quality and integrity of ABA services.
Supervise and support Behavior Technicians, Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), and BCaBAs as applicable.
Review, analyze, and interpret client data to guide treatment decisions and program modifications.
Provide parent and caregiver guidance as part of the treatment process.
Monitor client progress and adjust goals and interventions as needed.
Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with clinical, ethical, and payer requirements.
Collaborate with families and the clinical team to support meaningful progress across all areas of treatment.
Maintain professionalism, leadership, and ethical standards in all areas of service.

Requirements for BCBA Certification

To qualify for this position, you must:

Hold active BCBA certification in good standing..
Demonstrate knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis principles and ethical practices.
Have experience working with children with autism or other developmental needs, preferred.
Demonstrate strong leadership, communication, clinical judgment, and organizational skills.
Be willing to complete background check requirements and any additional employment requirements.
